Everything you need to know about selling with us.

How do I start consigning with Modo?

It’s easy! If you’re local to Portland, drop off items during store hours or schedule a consignment appointment. Check our Consign Page for full details.

What happens after I drop off my items?
  • Within a few days: We’ll email you with the items we’ve accepted.
  • Unaccepted items: Choose pick-up or donation.
  • About a week later: You’ll get a pricing email with a link to your consignor account to track sales.
How is pricing set?

We consider brand, condition, original retail, and resale history. If you have preferences, leave us a note with your drop-off. If you have concerns, please reach out within 24 hours of receiving your pricing email.

How much will I earn?
  • Items under $500 → 40%
  • Items $500+ → 60%
How & when do I get paid?
  • Use store credit in shop or online (10% bonus!)
  • Request payout via Venmo, PayPal, or check (available after our 14-day return window).
What kinds of clothing do you accept?

We prioritize designer, independent, and sustainable brands—pieces that feel special and stand the test of time. Some favorites: Ace & Jig, Isabel Marant, Rachel Comey, Prada, Gucci, and Chanel.

We also accept select contemporary brands such as Everlane, Anthropologie, Madewell, and Zara.

To stay aligned with what our shoppers love, we generally do not accept:

  • Fast fashion: Forever 21, H&M, Shein, Target, etc.
  • Mall brands: Gap, Banana Republic, Chico’s, etc.
Why wasn’t my item accepted?

We only take pieces that are in excellent condition and align with our shoppers’ style. If an item isn’t accepted, you can pick it up or have us donate it.

What if my items don’t sell?

We’ll notify you by email. You’ll have 7 days to choose pick-up or donation. If we don’t hear back, we’ll donate on your behalf.

Can I change my mind and get my item back?
  • If you disagree with pricing → request a price adjustment within 24 hours.
  • After pricing is finalized → we ask for at least 2 months on the sales floor before items are eligible for return.

Can I pick up my online purchase in person?

Yes! Visit us at 2025 NE Alberta St, Portland, OR 97211.

How much is shipping?

Shipping is based on USPS rates and item weight.

How fast do you ship?

We usually ship within 1 business day. Delivery times depend on the method you choose at checkout.

Where does your inventory come from?

From the closets of women like you! We have about 1,000 active consignors at any given time.

Are items authentic?

Yes. We carefully inspect every piece and never accept fakes or knock-offs.

What’s your return policy?
  • Online purchases → return within 14 days
  • In-store purchases → return within 7 days for store credit only

Items must have original tags attached and be in the same condition as purchased.
