Looking to make some extra cash and keep your closet eco-friendly? Consign your fabulous luxury and designer apparel, handbags, shoes, and accessories with us! We believe in giving things a new life and sustainability is important to us. Not only will you earn cash or trade for something new, but you'll also be doing your part to help the environment. Consigning with us is an easy way to keep your wardrobe updated while making a positive impact on the world.
How It Works
We accept high-quality, authentic, and in-season designer items in excellent condition.
- Review & submit our Consignment Agreement. Before bringing in your items, please make sure they meet our acceptable brand and quality guidelines. This includes items that are in excellent condition, clean, and free of any damages or stains. You can visit our Favorite Brands list to get an idea of what we're looking for.
- Schedule your consignment drop-off: Preferred, but not required! This helps us to plan & prepare for our day. You can schedule your drop-off on this Appointment Calendar
- Bring Your Items to Modo Boutique: When you arrive for your appointment, please make sure all items are folded and brought in a bag you don't want back. Paper or plastic bags work great. No hangers please!
- Item Review and Selection: Our team will review your items and select pieces that we believe will sell well in our store. We typically select items based on their quality, style, and current demand.
Once your items have been processed, will email you with a price list for the items we took. You will then have the option to donate any unaccepted items or arrange a time to pick them up.

If you're not local, you can ship us your consignments for FREE! Just send your information and a brief list of the items you'd like to consign, and we can send you a consignor shipping kit. Contact us here
We will get back to you as soon as possible letting you know what you should ship. We'll also send you shipping instructions along with a pre-paid kit. That means absolutely no out-of-pocket cost for you! Make sure items are packed up safe and secure. We will insure your shipment, but can not be held responsible for damage due to poor packing.
What next:
Once we receive your items we will go through and select the items we will believe will sell. We will email you with price-list and let you know if there are items we did not accept.
Items are consigned for a period of approximately 120 days. During the period, monthly price reductions occur. At the end of the consignment period, or if we decide that we will not accept any of your items to sell, we will email you asking if you would prefer to pick them up or have us donate them for you.
Pricing & Commission
Prices are set by Modo Boutique unless otherwise requested. Payouts are based on the percentage scale below:
How & When Will I get paid:
- Come in to use some or all as store credit or shop online (select Store Credit at checkout)
- Request a Payout via PayPal, Venmo or Paper Check ($1 fee per payout)
*Store Credit can be used immediately after something sells and is worth 10% more than PayPal/Venmo/Check payout. Paypal/Venmo/Checks can be issued anytime after our 14 day return period has passed.
What we're looking for:
At Modo Boutique, we carefully consider several factors when accepting items for consignment and pricing them. We focus on the style, brand, and condition of the items to ensure they meet our standards and appeal to our customers. Additionally, we take into account the current season and our inventory needs.
We understand that not all items will sell well in our store, and it's not a reflection of the quality or value of your items. However, if we believe that another outlet would be a better fit for your items, we will gladly recommend it to you.

STYLE:
We look for items that are popular current trends from within the last 1-2 years along with select vintage. What's current may be a matter of cut and fabric or in some cases, brand. Style is often more important than brand; just because you have a high-end designer item doesn't mean it's something that sells well for us at this time.
CONDITION:
Please pick the best of what you have.
Items should be freshly laundered and in like-new condition. If you bring in large amounts of dirty or damaged items or things we never buy such as used socks/underwear, we may reject your entire offer. If you are a smoker, please be aware that non-smokers are sensitive to the aroma and you must double check to make sure the items are free of any smell.
Our buyers go through hundreds of items a week - if you bring in a lot of visibly worn, dirty or inappropriate things, it is simply not worth it for us to dig through all of them. However, typical problems people miss are small holes or stains in the armpits, collars or crotch.
It does not matter if your items are "New With Tags" if they are out of style or if they simply don't sell well for us
BRAND:
We primarily buy based on brand. However, an older, out-of-style piece from a popular manufacturer of high-end designer won't sell well for us with few exceptions, mainly very specific vintage.
A few of our favorite brands are: Ace & Jig, Alexander Wang, Anthropologie, Adriano Goldschmied, Alice + Olivia, Burberry, Chloe, Current/Elliott, Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Frye, Ferragamo, Gucci, Icebreaker, Inhabit, Jimmy Choo, Kate Spade, Lululemon, Louis Vuitton, Marni, Missoni, Pendleton, Prairie Underground, Prada, Rag + Bone, Theory, Tom Ford, Velvet, Vince and so many more.
We also accept a limited number of mainstream brands such as: J. Crew, Madewell, Zara, etc.
We generally never accept items by the following brands: Forever 21, Banana Republic, Gap, Abercrombie, LOFT Ann Taylor, Jones New York, Polo, Old Navy, Coldwater Creek, Anne Klein, Liz Claiborne, Chico’s, etc.
SEASON AND INVENTORY:
We buy the best items for all seasons year 'round but we must also buy based on what we sell, which is affected by the season and what we have in stock. We are more selective with out-of-season merchandise, especially heavier winter items and formal wear.
